Bowman Football is back after a decade away, and this time it isn’t only NFL. The 2026 set puts licensed NFL cards and licensed college cards in the same box for the first time. It came out September 30.

A hobby box is 20 packs of eight cards with two autographs. Topps listed it at $309.99 on release day, and sealed boxes have sold for about $384 on eBay since. Topps published odds for every autograph and parallel, and the first week of sales is in, so this one runs on real numbers.

What the numbers say

Five things Topps' odds and the first week of sales tell you.

  1. ~$65auto value in an average hobby box

    01The two autos usually don't cover a $384 box.

Add up every autograph and parallel by its odds and its typical sale, and the autos in an average hobby box come to about $65. The middle rookie auto has sold for about $14 and the middle college prospect auto for about $10. Base parallels and inserts add a little on top.

  2. 15%of that average is one player

02Fernando Mendoza carries the rookie side.

His standard Chrome Rookie Auto has a $560 median across nine sales. That makes him about 15% of the auto value in an average box. Any Mendoza autograph turns up in about 1 in 102 hobby boxes, or roughly one case in nine.

  3. 1 in 19hobby boxes has a $90+ rookie or prospect auto

03Eleven names clear $90 so far.

Mendoza, Arch Manning, CJ Carr, Kamario Taylor, Drew Mestemaker, Jacob Rodriguez, Jared Curtis, Aaron Philo, Ty Simpson, Jeremiyah Love and Cam Coleman. Expect a standard or parallel Chrome auto of one of them in about 1 in 19 hobby boxes. A few of those prices rest on one or two sales.

  4. 39%of hobby boxes has a college prospect auto

    04Most boxes lean NFL.

From Topps' odds, an average hobby box holds about 0.9 rookie autos and 0.5 college prospect autos. The prospect pool is twice as big at 194 signers, so any one college name is harder to hit: Arch Manning's standard auto falls about 1 in 1,250 hobby boxes.

  5. 1 in 7mega boxes has an autograph

    05Retail is for parallels.

A mega box has an autograph about 1 in 7 times and a value blaster about 1 in 17. Paper autographs are blaster only, and the Mojo parallels and Mega Rookies are mega only.

How we got these

How we got these numbers

Odds are Topps’ published pack odds from the odds sheet on its product page. “1 in 40” means you’d expect one in 40 of that purchase. It doesn’t mean the 40th one is due.

Topps’ published autograph odds add up to about 1.5 per hobby box, 3 per jumbo and 2 per Breaker’s Delight, short of the 2, 4 and 3 it guarantees. The tool fills each gap with a generic rookie auto at a typical price.

Values are raw eBay sales from September 25 to October 8, 2026. Graded cards, lots, paper autos and Best Offer sales are left out.

What to keep in mind

  • It’s one week of sales. Early prices move, and many players have only one or two sales. Those are marked.
  • Parallels are priced as a multiple of the player’s standard auto, from players with both sales: about 1.2x for /499, 2x for /150, 4x for /50, 5x for /25, 10x for /10 and 12x for /5 on rookies, a bit less on college prospects. Veterans use the prospect multiples. The /3 and 1/1 multiples are assumptions.
  • Insert autos without their own sales are priced off the player’s main Chrome auto and marked ≈. Signers with no sales yet sit at the low end of the set, about $7.
  • Paper autos, legend autos, duals and triples show as “Not priced.” Their odds are real, but there’s no fair price for them yet.
  • Rookies are listed by NFL team and college prospects by school, so tiers mix both.
